It is thought to be good for re-aligning the spine and is useful for both hip and back pain. It is a useful bit of kit when working through past life issues. Petrified wood is basically fossilized wood that has had it's organic matter replaced by agate as it decomposes. The natural structure of the wood is maintained, but the fibres gradually change into stone. Other gemstones can be found within petrified wood such as jasper, quartze or pyrite. Petrified wood is a great grounding stone and is also very protective by it's very nature.
